THE HEMERDON MINE:
One of the Largest Tungsten Resources Globally
WHAT WE DO

Preconstruction Mine Planning
The updated Hemerdon Feasibility Study highlights robust project economics, a re-optimised processing strategy and strong ESG credentials.
The project has an initial primary mine life of approximately 11 years, with additional upside from stockpile reprocessing and long-term co-product aggregate sales beyond the primary mining phase.
During the primary mining period, Hemerdon is expected to deliver average annual production of approximately 331,000 MTU of tungsten (WO₃) together with around 462 tonnes of tin.
This production profile positions Tungsten West as one of the largest primary tungsten producers globally, supplying critical minerals from a stable and transparent jurisdiction.

Environmental Protection
Monitoring – Committed to meeting and exceeding all licensing requirements via robust environmental monitoring and compliance.
Sustainability – New technology in the processing plant significantly reduces the volume of material requiring downstream processing, thereby lowering the overall carbon footprint. Additionally, the production of premium aggregate as a co-product minimises the environmental impact compared to sourcing primary aggregate.
Restoration – Fully cash funded commitment to site restoration is in place with a £13.2m Restoration Bond.
Zero Emissions – Long-term ambition to be emission free at Hemerdon.

PROJECT
Located in South Devon, UK, the Hemerdon Mine has been operational several times. Most recently, from 2015 to 2018 under a previous owner.
The Project is one of the largest tungsten deposits globally.
CRITICAL TUNGSTEN
Tungsten plays a critical role in numerous industries.
It’s unique properties of being the hardest metal with the highest melting point mean it's used in many different sectors such as automotive and transport, industrial, mining and construction, defence and energy generation.
Over 80% of the world's tungsten production is sourced from China, with key markets such as the US and Europe reliant on imports.
